Pokhara
is the major city for Annapurna Region, as at least once trekkers need to be in
Pokhara. If you are at Annapurna Circuit then you will be start from Beshi
Sahar on Lamjung and end on Pokhara. Apart from that rest of the other trekkers
will be in Pokhara at twice both at start and end of Trek. Pokhara itself is a
beautiful city with view of Fishtail and Annapurna Ranges along with Fewa Lake.
Lakeside is major touristic area on Pokhara. It is recommended to allocate one
or two days on Pokhara for exploring the beauty of city. Here are list of places

Fewa
Lake is the most beautiful part of Pokhara; there is small temple of the middle
of lake where one needs to take a help of boat. Try boating on afternoon or
early morning when weather is clear. It is very cheap to hire a boat that is
less than USD 10 for couple of hour with boatman.
David Falls
It
is drainage for Fewa Lake on southeast part of lake. According to legends
people named Davis was taking a bath and swiped away by flood from Fewa Lake. He
disappeared on underground tunnel at present David Falls. The main season for
David Falls is during June, July and August as at that time level of water get
increased dramatically.
Gupteswor Cave
Just
in front of David Falls there is one underground cave that stretch up to viewpoint
of David Falls. You can have amazing view of underground waterfall along with
one holy temple of the middle of cave. Lights are fixed and stone staircases
are built for comfort of visitors.
Mountaineering Museum
If you
want to have idea of mountaineering history in Nepal it is worth to visit mountaineering
museum. There are collections of several photographs, stories of expedition
history in Nepal, gears used of previous climber during early expedition. Don’t
forget to watch documentary on hall of museum about mountaineering.
