Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Lets start with famous trekking destination of Annapurna. Annapurna Base Camp Trek can last for minimum eight days to twelve days. It can be categorized as moderate grade trek on hear of Annapurna. Annapurna South Base Camp Trek can be done entirely on teahouse.

Annapurna Circuit Trek

Another synonym of Annapurna Region Trek, Around Annapurna Trek is world renowned for its varied landscape and natural beauty. Trail passes through world’s widest Thorong La pass. There are several peak climbing alternatives during Annapurna Circuit Trek.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek

Famous sunrise and sunset viewpoint of Poonhill is prime destination in Annapurna Region where number of local domestic trekkers trek within short time frame. Almost sixteen different mountains can be seen from Poonhill including one of eight thousanders, i.e. Dhaulagiri I.

Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek

A good alternative of Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal is another ten days teahouse trek on southwest of Annapurna Sanctuary. Community based eco lodge are operated on Mardi Himal Base Area where different view of same mountain can be seen along with aerial view of ABC from high camp of Mardi.

Khopra Danda Trek

A good alternative of Ghorepani Poonhill Trek, Khopra Danda is another excellent example of community based eco lodge chain. Terrain is lest explored and located on northeast of Ghorepani Poonhill. In short timeframe this area starts to dominate Poonhill, as there is optional side trip to Hidden Lake right in front of Annapurna South.

Nar Phu Valley Trek

Starting from similar start point of Annapurna Circuit, Nar Phu Valley hike further north of trail. Area is less explored and belongs to restricted region, as there are very poor infrastructure and close access to Tibet via walking trail. At the last after merging on Manang one can either traverse to Thorong Pass or retrace back via same way.

Upper Mustang Trek

Another restricted region on Annapurna that passes deep inside the Kali Gandaki Gorge is land of last forbidden kingdom. Terrain is similar to Tibetan Plateau and so are the people. Different culture and tradition as well as different environment can be sense on Upper Mustang.

Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking

One of the toughest treks in entire Nepal, Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is suitable for hikers with previous mountain experience. Duration of walking per day is high and successive passes one after another add twist of hike. Final traverse of French Col might need help of fixed ropes and crampons.

Jomsom Muktinath Trek
