north of Pokhara there is range of world’s tenth highest mountain named
Annapurna that offers incredible trekking itinerary and alternatives. Annapurna
Circuit Trek is one of the best trekking with the region as it pass through
world’s widest pass named Thorong La Pass. Busiest one is Ghorepani Poonhill
Trek as it is possible to trek throughout a year and can be as short as four to
five from Pokhara. One of highest glacial lake on world is located close to
Thorong Pass, which is visited by thousand of visitor each year. Trail to
Tilicho Lake Trek is quite strenuous as it passes through some narrow section
and prone to landslide. Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek and Khopra Danda Trek are
newly identified community based eco trek. The Last Forbidden Kingdom of Upper
Mustang is most expensive trekking on entire Annapurna region in term of cost
because of its expensive permits and mandatory guides as well presence of local
agencies on organizing the trip.

Dhaulagiri
is toughest trek on entire Annapurna Region as it traverses with some of the
wild and technical high alpine passes on successive days. Annapurna Circuit can
be complete entirely with cycling via mountain bike. Trail is developed up to
Lo Manthang on Upper Mustang that offer incredible jeep tour as well as dirt
bike tour where terrain matches with plateau of Tibet and Ladakh Himalayas. Except
Upper Mustang and Nar Phu Valley Trek rest of region can be trek solo after
obtaining TIMS and ACAP Permit. Annapurna Base Camp on south is the most
beautiful spot for watching sunset and sunrise as every time mountain turns
into mass of gold and Annapurna I glacier is just below the view point.
Although trekking grade is easier Annapurna I is the most technical mountain in
Nepal for expedition as it has highest number of death rate.
